How should tractor maintenance be performed?

01.02.2024

Tractor maintenance is an important process that should be carried out regularly to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the tractor. The frequency of maintenance may vary depending on the intensity of use, operating conditions, and manufacturer recommendations. However, generally, the following maintenance activities are recommended to be performed at specific intervals.

1. Daily Maintenance: Clean the tractor after each use and inspect it visually. Check fuel, oil, and water levels. Check tire pressure. If necessary, add oil, fuel, or coolant.

2. Weekly Maintenance: Inspect the tractor in more detail each week. Tighten wheel nuts, axles, and other important connection points. Check the brake system and adjust if necessary.

3. Monthly Maintenance: Change the engine oil and filters every month. Clean or replace the air filter. Check the coolant system level. Check electrical connections and clean them if necessary.

4. 3-6 Month Maintenance: Every three to six months, inspect the tractor more comprehensively. Check and, if necessary, replace or adjust the belts, plumbing, and other important components of the engine.

5. Annual Maintenance: Annually, thoroughly inspect the tractor and make repairs or replacements as needed. Completely change the engine and transmission oils. Check and, if necessary, replace the brake system. Thoroughly inspect all connection points and critical components.

These maintenance activities may vary depending on the operating conditions and intensity of use of the tractor. Specific maintenance instructions for each tractor model can be found in the manufacturer's manual. Additionally, it is recommended to regularly take your tractor to an authorized service center for periodic maintenance. This ensures that your tractor operates reliably and safely for a longer period.
